William Royle, a deeply committed follower of the Temperance movement referred to Charles Beswick as a working man & lay preacher for the Wesleyans at Ladybarn and Fallowfield. Charles Beswick founded a Wesleyan Sunday School for children in Rusholme in 1828. The pamphlet below is in total some 23 pages long, for brevity I have just copied the first paragraph of page 5. It does seem to be quite sufficient and I do not really wish to suggest that as on the cover the rest will be published 'by request'!!
